Teen Counseling in Las Vegas
The teenage and adolescent years can bring significant changes, including increased stress, anxiety, social pressures, academic challenges, and uncertainty about the future.
Teenagers can face challenges as they develop greater independence and navigate relationships, school, family expectations, and social pressures. If your teen is experiencing anxiety, sadness, anger, stress, or difficulty adjusting to changes, counseling can provide a supportive space to understand what they're experiencing and develop healthier ways of coping.

Teens can learn to thrive with professional counseling.
As teens become more independent, parents may sometimes be unsure how to support them or when additional help may be appropriate. Teen counseling can provide support for concerns such as anxiety, mood changes, stress, relationships, school difficulties, emotional regulation, and major life transitions.
When appropriate, our counselors may also use standardized behavioral and symptom assessments to better understand a teen's concerns and help guide treatment. These tools can provide additional information about areas such as anxiety, mood, behavior, attention, trauma symptoms, and emotional functioning.
Havenworks founder Philip B. Gnilka, PhD, has extensive experience in counseling assessment, including more than a decade teaching graduate-level assessment courses as a counselor education professor.
Gain confidence for life’s complex challenges.
Trying to navigate emotions and social issues is hard for many teenagers. Nearly 20% of U.S. children and adolescents ages 3–17 have a mental, emotional, developmental, or behavioral disorder, according to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The transition through adolescence into adulthood comes with complex challenges. This growth process can interfere with their mental health and development.
Teen counseling provides a healthy way to process thoughts and feelings. We can help teens develop communication skills and techniques that improve their lives. Our team offers a unique roadmap to help them break free from uncertainty and embrace peace.
Teens Need a Place Where They Can Talk Openly.
Some teenagers find it difficult to discuss certain concerns with parents, teachers, or friends. Counseling can provide a private, supportive environment where teens can talk about their experiences, better understand their emotions, and develop skills for handling difficult situations.
Parents are an important part of supporting a teenager's mental health. At the same time, teens often benefit from having appropriate privacy in counseling. At the beginning of treatment, your counselor will discuss confidentiality, its limits, and how parents or caregivers may be involved in treatment. The approach can vary depending on the teen's age, needs, safety considerations, and treatment goals.
